Five years after their hit debut, YPoFH returns with a new and unique sound, inspired by both post rock and old school emo. Call it a dreamy Band of Horses or a noisy Death Cab for Cutie. Compare them to Explosions in the Sky, Appleseed Cast, Slint or Built to Spill. Either way: They're back.
On their first, hugely acclaimed album the band improvised a lot while recording. This time, the seven members have taken their time, continuously searching for new sounds, melodies and structures.
Working with producer Sjur Lyseid (Little Hands of Asphalt, Monzano) the search has resulted in eight tracks ignoring commercial expectations of verses, choruses and song length, while still possessing an immediate appeal.
Wanting to make an impact upon their return, YPoFH have also come up with a breathtaking cover for their double album: An A5-format, 32 page book (not booklet) featuring the original work of Norwegian artists Hans Hansen and Hanne Grieg Hermansen.
In the exclusive first edition, the book comes in four different colors: Red, green, white and grey. Get your favorite - or get them all!
