"It's elevated by its' extremely eloquent lyrics, from something you could describe as good, but naive and melodic music, to an interesting debut" Studvest, grade A
"The lyrics are undecidedly either very deep, or just surreal and naive. Something we're not used to from norwegian artists. This fits like a glove with the lightfooted, yet rock solid indiepop" Spirit, 6/6 (magazine only)
“Pop-poetry ... Outclasses most norwegian songwriters these days" Aftenposten, 5/6
“A great example of classic singer/songwriting with the right degree of a modern and delicate touch. Highly recommended” NRK Lydverket, 5/6
"Makes every moment a lasting memory ... One of the greatest album to come out of the Oslo underground in years” Groove.no 5/7
"What sets Lyseid apart is his wonderous and thought-through lyrics, as well as a developed sense of melody" Natt og Dag :)
"The melodies are complemented by inventive instrumentation and dynamics that make Leap Years feel-good album of the year" livecity.no 7/10
"Offers some of the best songs from a young singer/songwriter in a while" Adressa, 5/6
"The alt-country inspired pop on this disc is at a very high level" Firdaposten, 5/6
"Quite possibly the most beautiful Norwegian album this year" musikknyheter, 7/10
Catchy, innocent, and charming bedroom-pop, with detailed, reference-filled lyrics about love, fish, the gulf-stream, etc. Livecity 7/10
“Among Norway's finest albums of the year ... A combination of superb lyrics, a beautiful soft voice and and melodies reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen, The Replacements and Elliot Smith” ABC Nyheter, no grade
"Pure pop-magic ... The songs are so beautiful, fragile & expansive (yes, its true), it's impossible to not raise your arms, scream out in joy, or get depressed" Furoreiharare.com, no grade |

Sjur Lyseid of Monzano-fame is The Little Hands of Asphalt. Weaving clever lyrics into edgy folk-pop, his solo project is all boy's room-pop with an urban country twang, leaning on both Springsteen and Paul Simon.
Produced by Keneth Ishak this debut-album is a split release with the fine folks at Spoon Train Audio and set for a March 9th release.
